History

  • Organized in 1954
  • In northeastern Pueblo and western Crowley Counties
  • Governed by an elected five-member board

Mission

The Olney Boone Conservation District is a local organization governed by a five-member board elected by the landowners.  The District provides assistance to, advises, and directs the landowners, operators, and community.  The purpose of these activities is to improve the natural and renewable resources and enhance the lifestyle in our district. 

Function

The function of OBCD is to make available technical financial and educational resources, whatever their source, and focus or coordinate them so that they meet the needs of the local land manager with conservation of soil, water, and related natural resources.
